David DeMelo began his career in optics manufacturing at an early age, quickly advancing to perform maintenance on critical high-precision manufacturing plant and equipment. His technical expertise and dedication to excellence facilitated a seamless transition into management roles, overseeing shipping, receiving, and logistics. David’s career trajectory continued upward as he took on a purchasing role, where his strategic approach and attention to detail were invaluable.
With additional training in ERP systems, and an intimate knowledge of Diverse Optics’ manufacturing processes, David was well-prepared for his current role as Materials and Facilities Manager. A graduate of the two-year VISTAGE Emerging Leader program, David’s curriculum focused on 12 leadership competencies, further enhancing his leadership skills. David also completed the ADEC Lean Leadership training program. His comprehensive experience and commitment to continuous improvement have solidified his reputation as a key leader in the optics manufacturing industry.
